VOLUNTEER AT AN EVENT

This volunteer training portal is designed for WWPF Volunteers in Florida ONLY. If you are from another state, a WWPF team member will be emailing you shortly to get more information on how you can get involved.

What it Means to Be a WWPF Volunteer

We all have someone or something that motivates us - it’s ‘Who We Play For’. Who We Play for represents every young person who lost their life to Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Our fight is to ensure that other families, teams, and communities will never know that pain.

Steps to Becoming a Volunteer

  • STEP 1: Volunteer Training

All WWPF volunteers must be properly trained as to maintain high ECG quality and standards at all heart screening events. At the end of the presentation there is a quiz that must be submitted prior to volunteering for a WWPF event.

We recommend keeping a copy of this training on hand and reviewing it periodically to ensure you stay up to date on all WWPF procedures and policies for heart screening events.

  • STEP 2: Background Check

Download the background checklist and carefully follow the instructions.

Brevard County Residents: Please follow the instructions on this link to obtain your fingerprints - https://www.brevardschools.org/page/volunteers.

Once you've been fingerprinted and approved through BPS you will receive an email confirmation from " donotreply@raptortech.com " (check your spam/junk folder) please forward this email to hr@whoweplayfor.org to confirm your approval.

  • STEP 3: Code of Ethics

WWPF strives to maintain integrity and high quality in everything we do. As a volunteer, you are the front line representative to many of our participants and their families.

By signing the Code of Ethics, you are agreeing to uphold the values of WWPF.
