ONLINE HANDS-ON
CPR TRAINING
Who Could Benefit from a Hands-On CPR Course?
-
Imagine being in your classroom and a student having a SCA event. What do you do? If our teachers and faculty members are equipped with the basics of CPR training, it can be the difference in these life-threatening moments.
-
Having the most exposure to student-athletes in environments where SCA are more likely to occur, all coaches should be trained in CPR.
-
Think about working through your normal day at the office and your employee/co-worker starts having a SCA event. Make sure you are trained to respond within the first minutes of the incident.
-
70-80% of people die at home from a wide array of causes. Being prepared is a critical step to helping those you love. If something happens with your child, spouse, or friend, you should be able to respond within seconds as emergency response time could be upwards of 10 minutes.
-
Being prepared to help someone in need no matter what age is important. You never know the situation you may find yourself in when someone begins to have a SCA event.
-
With the first 3-5 minutes being the most vital for survival and normal brain function after the SCA event, it is vital to have someone prepared present when the incident begins. Emergency response time can take 7-14 minutes in urban areas and above 20 minutes in rural areas. Those present must be prepared to respond quickly with CPR.
