Michigan has lost too many young, vibrant lives to Sudden Cardiac Death in recent years. As a result, Governor Snyder signed a bill that requires all Michigan schools to practice AED/CPR drills and have emergency Sudden Cardiac Arrest response plans. Michigan schools know that being prepared saves lives. Who We Play For is teaming up with the Wes Leonard Heart Team, Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation, The Charlie Sanders Foundation, Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship and Katlyn's Krew to bring heart screening in to schools across the state.
Together we are working to provide every student with the opportunity to get a heart screening, no matter the level of athletics, socio-economic status or geographical location. No parent should have to experience the loss of a child, especially from a detectable, preventable heart condition.
